Gabriela is a Communications and Policy Officer at CurrENT, contributing to the organisation’s work on advancing innovative grid technologies for Europe’s energy transition. She previously worked as a Blue Book trainee at the European Commission (DG ENER), where she supported the preparation of the Strategic Roadmap on AI and Digitalisation in the energy sector, gaining experience on topics such as data exchange for flexibility, AI applications and data centre integration. She has a background in econometrics and economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam and a Master’s degree in economics focused on sustainable and resilient economies from Maastricht University. Gabriela is particularly interested in the role of innovative grid solutions in strengthening Europe’s energy security while enabling the green transition.
